Ryan was raised in Olympia, WA. (about 60 miles south of Seattle…it’s the capitol come on, don’t you remember this from 5th grade!)
Ryan began to follow Jesus as a freshman in High School. Almost instantly after his conversion he knew he was called to teach the Bible and pastor.
Right after H.S. he attended Calvary Chapel Bible College where he studied theology and pastoral ministry. Upon graduation from CCBC Ryan married his amazing wife, Andrea, and they have now been married for 13 years and have 2 really great kids; Kaitlyn (7) and Carson (5).
Pastor Ryan has been involved in pastoral ministry for 12 years, serving for almost 8 years as the lead planter and pastor of Calvary Chapel Crook County, in Prineville, OR.
In the spring of 2009 Ryan was assessed and approved as an Acts 29 church planter.
Andrea and Ryan are thrilled to be here in Fort Collins as missionaries and church planters; joining God on His mission of redeeming this lost and fallen world. They are extremely excited about what God is doing in and through Missio Dei.
Ryan is passionate about the gospel, church planting, and preaching Jesus centered sermons.
What’s in the iPod? – U-2 and Coldplay are among my favorites. Recently I’ve been listening to Broken Bells, Vampire Weekend, The Black Keys, Mumford and Sons, and the Avett Brothers.
What do you DVR? - The Office, Parks and Rec, and David Letterman.
What are you reading right now? – Doctrine by Mark Driscoll
Favorite food? – Carnitas Pork Burrito from Big City Burrito in Fort Collins.
Favorite Movie? – Tombstone is up there for sure, Sandler’s older stuff, Napoleon Dynamite, and Nacho Libre.

Recreation? – My family has taken up bike riding since moving to Fort Collins. I’ve also recently started playing disc golf and I’m really enjoying that game.

Find Missio Dei on…
I am new to Fort Collins and looking for a church home. Do you have a college ministry? Is the Theology Pub for men only? When do you meet?

We don’t have an official college ministry although our people are primarily college age and most everything we’re doing is very relevant to that age group.
Theology Pub is for both men and women…it would be awesome to have you.
We meet on Sunday mornings at 10am at the TR Paul Academy of Arts and Knowledge on McMurry and Harmony (south Fort Collins)
